|Future Tense| - "What's Next?" - Personal Statement

As I’ve been told multiple times, we can’t really predict what’s going to happen within the next hour, day, week, or year. However, I would personally like to assume that within the next couple of years we are going to focus more on the sci-fi genre, more specifically the literary speculation kind. I want to use Black Mirror as a fine example of such theory. I think little by little we as intelligent, expanding beings are beginning to understand the extensity on how technology can lead to bigger opportunities that could’ve never been reached decades ago. We have lives hundreds of times easier than others all due to our massive use of technology. I do feel, however, that technology could end up being too much for us and could end up disrupting our human principles. We will be detached from each other and maybe even our A.I. will turn against us, later making a world that can in which our creations govern us rather than the other way around. I think it’s
